About this activity.

Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman (1882-1945) is one of the best-known and most beloved artists in Groningen. Using materials from his own commercial printing house, he made colorful and expressive prints, which he called prints. How did Werkman develop from commercial printer to autonomous artist and what techniques did he use?

In 2019, GRID managed to acquire the entire inventory of the printing house of H.N. Werman.
