Beacon Het Ziltepad is a series of artworks by renowned visual artist Peter Vink, best known for his light artworks. In four churches on Het Ziltepad, he creates a transformation through light four times: he makes a different application each time that literally puts the church in a new light. Het Ziltepad has been running along the Wadden coast since 2023: a walking and cycling route along the rugged northern coastal edge of the country, in Friesland and Groningen. The route takes you through beautiful landscapes, past resting places and to historic churches that are up to eight centuries old. Het Ziltepad will be expanded further in the coming years.
