Ars Amulae Naturae - ‘Ode to Nature’ in K38
About this activity.
Art Center K38 Presents Ars Amulae Naturae - ‘Ode to Nature’
In the coming weeks, Art Center K38 will showcase the work of eight artists, all drawing inspiration from nature. Bart Zwiers, a forest ranger with Natuurmonumenten dedicated to nature conservation, will open the exhibition on December 6th at 4:00 PM.
The participating artists are Christiaan Afman, Joke Schepers, Gwendolyn van Essen, Gerdie de Jong, Joris Collier, Paul Andringa, Egbert Jan Brink, and Kiki Jürgens.
This exhibition features a wide variety of works inspired by nature, showcasing the profound connection between art and the natural world. As climate change threatens both nature and wildlife, the artists aim to draw attention to these urgent issues through their creations.
The event will include a musical performance by two of the participating artists, the duo Joris Collier and Gerdie de Jong. Their work focuses on animals, animal suffering, and climate change, with references to ‘The Lost Story of Fairytale Land: The Beginning of the New Age.’
The exhibition runs until Sunday, December 29th. Additionally, works by Lonia Schölvinck will be on display and available for purchase in the Art Shop.
