Academie Minerva - Graduation Show 2022 FUTURE,

About this activity.

Minerva Art Academy (Hanze UAS) shows the work of 160 graduated bachelor’s and master’s students in an extensive exhibition on the grounds of the old strawboard factory de Toekomst (the Future) in Scheemda. Starting out at the academy as curious, inquisitive students, they developed into artists, designers and teachers in the past few years. They seek out friction, incomprehension and understanding, past and present, beauty and ugliness, the secret and the unheard of. They developed into professionals who are capable of thinking differently, being critical, devising solutions or making unexpected connections. 

It is the first time that the academy leaves the city for the graduation show and seeks a connection with the region. De Toekomst offers every opportunity for a festival-like setting in which students can show their work to a broad audience. Minerva Art Academy will present a diverse exhibition in which both bachelors and masters will show their work, as well as a rich daily side programme full of art, music, unexpected encounters and, of course, delicious foods and drinks.   

Exhibition master's students 
The work of the master’s students of the Frank Mohr Institute can also be seen in the factory. With this exhibition, the masters Painting, MADtech and the first graduates of the study programme interRelational Art Practices (iRAP) conclude their two-year research by presenting their graduation works to the public.  

Programma
During the exhibition, various activities will take place in and around the factory. Besides the opening on 25 June at 14.00, there will be award ceremonies, food trucks, performances and live shows by, among others, students of Minerva Academy for Pop Culture.

Academie Minerva is een van de 18 schools van de Hanzehogeschool Groningen en biedt een breed en uniek aanbod kunstvakopleidingen op bachelor- en masterniveau.
