Now on View in Tschumi: 'A House to Inherit: Postcards From the Future'
About this activity.
The sloping Tschumi Pavilion will reflect the soil of the gas-drilled province of Groningen in the coming months. 26 pieces of transparent textile that the artists have stitched by hand refer to the interior of a house. Large puppets and stories written by artist Fynn van der Ziel can also be seen. The dolls symbolize future generations. In postcards they tell how they ended up here. "The idea is that we owe it to future generations to take care of our environment," Olivia D'Cruz and Marina Sulima say. The project is a collaboration between Kunstpunt Groningen and Noorderlicht and is part of Hernieuwde Energie, a long-term collaboration between Noorderlicht and BPD Cultuurfonds.
A House to Inherit: Postcards From the Future can be seen 24/7 until October 15. |
